Hi folks, I’m Alex, the Foxall part of Langley Foxall Ltd, well I was until I married Nick last year and became a Langley (I tried to convince him to let me double barrel but being a strong individual he was having none of it!) I come into the LF offices regularly to keep on top of the day to day admin, book keeping, payroll and general staff welfare. Oh and I lovingly bake the homemade goodies you’ll sometimes see on our social media!
Every job in our company is as important as the next
At Langley Foxall everyone is a truly valued member of staff; there are no top and bottom roles here. Every job in our company is as important as the next and without each position being filled we don’t function properly. You might think that our Devs are top dogs (or foxes!) but trust me, without our sales team bringing the work in, our marketing team advertising our services, our QAs testing the projects or little old me supplying copious amounts of energy drinks and snacks when the teams under pressure we simply wouldn’t work. We’re all important here.
Its key for each member of staff to feel valued and appreciated as this increases our productivity, loyalty to the company, better communication across all areas and creates an enjoyable work environment. Nick and I crave a work place that our employees want to come to; the thought of any of them waking up with dread that its a Monday morning puts the fear of God into us! Being young bosses we continuously scrutinise our decisions and ideas; are we being too hard on them?, are we allowing too many breaks?, is the layout of the Dev Den conducive to work?, are the team happy with us as bosses?!
an employee who feels valued by their team and their boss is an asset to the company
An employees relationship with their manager is such an important factor; an employee who feels valued by their team and their boss is an asset to the company but as managers we don’t see them just as employees; we must see them as people. People with feelings, dreams and goals both inside and outside of LF. We strive to look after our ‘people’ in the hope that they will help us to look after Langley Foxall as we continue to grow from strength to strength.
